How to wrap flowers like a florist

How to wrap flowers like a florist

Regular readers will know how much I love to wrap beautiful gifts. The post I did on wrapping a gift in kraft paper (see it here) is still one of my most popular.

Earlier in the week I was visiting a friend so decided to take her a little gift. I always get SO annoyed by how much florists charge for flowers, so instead I decided to be a bit cheeky and buy a cheap bunch from the supermarket and then re-wrap them to make them look like they were wrapped by a florist!! As I already had everything out I decided to show you a few examples of different ideas for how you might do this - and as I had also bought myself some gum-nuts at the same time, decided to have a go at an idea for wrapping those as well.

This is a great idea for a last minute gift as we get closer to Christmas. Something like this would be perfect to take to Christmas parties to give the host, give to teachers at the end of the year or give to your grandmother or an older person who might be in a nursing home (or is otherwise tricky to buy for!).

And not to sound super stingy - but this bunch of flowers cost me $10 - and the end product looks like flowers I've spent closer to $40 for. BARGAIN!

This last one was the bunch I took my friend and she loved them. As she's a reader of the blog I did have to disclose my little secret at the time - but she was happy I had put extra effort in to creating something special just for her :)
