Modern gift wrapping | one gift five ways

It was one of my son's birthday last week and while I was wrapping one of his gifts I decided to have a go at wrapping in a few different ways. I'm a real sucker for a nicely wrapped gift and could browse images for hours - like the ones I brought you a few weeks ago on this post. I've been quite inspired by Pinterest lately and have been collecting lots of different ideas on my "gift wrapping" board (which you can check out here).

I simply wrapped the gift in brown kraft paper and then took to work making a few different looks with different kinds of twine and accessories I had around at home.

LOOK 1: I used some brown raffia twine and stamped a simple tag using my alphabet stamp set. I then secured the tag with some graphic pegs.

LOOK 2: Using some gold, black and white twine (get something similar here), I simply wound it around the present, and secured it at the back with tape. I cut out a tag from some black card that I had lying around - and even though I accidentally punched the hole in the wrong end of the tag (oops!) I didn't mind how it looked anyway. The tag was just threaded through the twine before I secured it.

LOOK 3: For this one I used some black dot stickers. Using the same tag I had stamped earlier I simply secured it with some graphic washi tape

LOOK 4: I used some simple twine again and a tag that I had made a while ago with a simple flower stamp cutter and a yellow dot in the middle. I picked up on the orange in the flower by using a little orange peg to secure it to the twine.

LOOK 5: This is the simplest of all five. I picked up on the neon trend at the moment and just used a simple piece of neon thread and the same hand-stamped card. Very simple, modern and effective I think!

So a simple post today - but one that I enjoyed putting together. Hopefully gives you a few gift wrapping ideas in the lead up to the festive season, which I find is coming around very quickly this year!

Enjoy your day.
