10 mistakes beginners make when using SketchUp

In this post I am sharing a video I recently uploaded to my YouTube channel where I go over 10 mistakes that beginners make when they first start using SketchUp.

Here are the mistakes we cover:

  1. They get in a sticky mess

  2. They lose geometry on their canvas

  3. They don’t make sure of shortcut keys

  4. They don’t organise their models properly

  5. They don’t model on an axis

  6. They don’t make use of scenes

  7. They can’t move objects properly

  8. They get carried away in the 3D warehouse (which can really slow their model down)

  9. They don’t use the select tool properly

  10. They loose geometry due to not being in the correct camera angle (where geometry cuts away)
