My Monthly Review - February 2022

I have been publicly sharing my monthly business reviews since January 2022 (scroll to the bottom of this post to see my others).

This is a reset process I go through on the first of every month to review the month that has just been and to plan for the month ahead.

I highly encourage all of my clients and students to do a similar process each month as it helps keep you accountable and see what is working and isn’t working in your business.

If you want a free checklist to use you can grab that here:

If you aren’t regularly tracking what is happening in your business then it’s very difficult to assess what’s working, what isn’t working, what progress you are making (or not making!) and how you can improve.

My review process normally takes me about 20 minutes to complete each month and when I look back on my previous entries I’m so grateful that I have a record of what has been happening so I can look back on how far I have come!

A quick note before we start…

I share this information publicly because I’m a completely open book and want to encourage and inspire other women and mothers about what is possible with their businesses.

When I was starting my ow business I used to follow a few business owners who did something similar to this and I found it hugely inspiring and helpful as it showed me what was possible in my own business.

However, I’m aware that some people find the sharing of business results and revenue numbers triggering, so if that’s you then I suggest you skip this post and jump in to some of my other free content instead :)

Here’s my review from February 2022.

Top 3 Wins Last Month

1. Remade SketchUp beginners course for 2022 - big project

2. Good revenue month, especially given I was in hospital and on bedrest for a week

3. Continuing daily blog posts which seems to be improving organic sales - ROAS is up and ad spend is down.

Notes from Last Month

What went well, what didn’t go well…

Went in to hospital 21st February for my brain aneurysm operation. Procedure went well but they found more issues with my health that need further investigation. Also will need to go back in next month or so to have the spinal fistula repaired, which I’m not looking forward to!

Still enjoying writing daily blog posts and they continue to be fairly easy to manage. Got ahead with these before going in hospital so they auto-published even when I was in ICU and hospital, which I’m happy about. Going to continue with this for the coming period.

Organisation and daily non-negotiable haven’t been quite as disciplined as last month. Need to get back to my daily routine more fully now I’m recovered from hospital.

Went to Denfair - it was quite average this year and a bit of a disappointment. But it was a nice ‘junket’ weekend away with my sister and we had a good time. Stayed at the W hotel, which is quite new, good design and experience.

Remade my Sketchup beginners course, which is a big project. Very happy with how it’s turned out. Have added captions and it’s all recorded in 4K. Videos have been updated to account for common questions we get and I’ve updated the branding. I’m hoping this may now last for 2 years and I can do a smaller update to it next year instead.

Need to still get back to creating YouTube videos. Probably something I can start tackling this month I think. Have put this off for so long now! Not sure what the block is here with just getting on with it!
