Back in 2014 when I was first starting my business I had absolutely no idea what I was doing.
But I did know that I wanted to try and replace my 6-figure corporate salary with an interior design business I loved to work in. And I wanted to try and do that as quickly as possible as I hated my corporate job and wanted to be working for myself full time as fast as possible!
But I found it so hard to work out the right and wrong way of doing things.
I found the design industry extremely closed and I would try and search for information on starting or growing a design business and found very little that helped me. Very few designers were sharing the behind the scenes of their business - in terms of what worked and what didn’t work - so I really had to make it all up as I went along!
And over the years I made every mistake you could think of…
But fast forward 8 or 9 years and I now run an extremely successful business that I have built completely from the ground up. And what I now try and do is share what I’ve learned from my experience working as a designer and growing my business so that others who are just getting started have more information at their fingertips than I did.
So I have spent time putting all this knowledge and experience in to a framework that can help other designers, which is what I am going to share with you today.
