10 things I'm loving this month (April)

I thought I would start sharing a post each month with links to 10 things I’ve really enjoyed over the past month.

These might be links to resources (e.g. podcast or YouTube video I’ve found helpful), design stuff or even just products I’ve purchased or found that I like.

I always enjoy round up posts like this from other creators so thought you may also enjoy it as well :) Plus it’s a great way for me to keep a public log of what I’ve been reading, watching, listening to or purchasing!

Here’s what I’ve enjoyed over the past month or so….

10 things I’m loving this month

Return to Space (Netflix documentary)

With Elon Musk purchasing Twitter this past month I decided to jump in to this Netflix documentary that I’ve been meaning to watch for a while now. It was excellent!

Even though Elon is a bit of a nutcase you can’t deny he’s unbelievably impressive and inspiring. This documentary is all about how he has built SpaceX - highly recommend.

Mr Beast on The Joe Rogan Experience (Podcast)

If you’ve got kids you will know who Mr Beast is! He’s one of the top creators on YouTube with an audience of something like 100 million followers.

In this podcast he chats with Joe Rogan about how he has built his channel and how he thinks about content creation.

Even if you’re not really in to his content (I’m not either) his story is really interesting and he’s only about 23 years old. Very impressive guy!

Malvern East Terrace House by Studio Esteta (Video House Tour)

A tour of a heritage renovation by Studio Esteta on The Local Project YouTube channel.

4 ways to make your to-do list less overwhelming (Blog post)

Some practical tips for reducing your overwhelm in this short article.

Eat This Much (App)

I’m trying to be careful tracking my Macros at the moment as I want to build more muscle and get stronger with my strength training. I’ve been using this app for about a month now. You enter the calories and macros you want to hit and it will spit out meal plans for you.

Amazon Empire: The Rise and Reign of Jeff Bezos (YouTube Documentary)

A look at how Jeff Bezos has built Amazon - I didn’t know so much of what was in this documentary!

[Side note: I really like watching documentaries like this while I cook the dinner at the moment - so something like this might take me 2 or 3 nights to watch - just as an FYI on when I consume this sort of content]

68 bits of unsolicited advice by Kevin Kelly (Blog post)

I enjoyed this article from Kevin Kelly - who wrote the famous essay ‘1000 True Fans’

Alyce Tran’s Pastel Paddington Terrace (House Tour)

I shared this one in my newsletter last week. I’m not normally one for lots of colour (at least in my own home) but this house is so friendly and cheerful!

Alex Hormozi on The Iced Coffee Hour Podcast (YouTube version)

Again, this is the sort of thing I like to watch while I’m cooking dinner each night. Alex Hormozi is a bit full of himself quite honestly - but he is smart and I do like the way he thinks, so found this interview interesting.

Winter Jacket (Product)

It’s getting cold in Sydney and as I train all year round in the outdoors at 6am it gets freezing cold in winter! I’ve just bought this new jacket from The Upside to get me through this winter!
