Our house is on the market!

I’ve been sharing quite a bit about the new house we have purchased over the last few weeks but we also need to sell the one we currently live in as well! And it hast just gone on the market!

So in this post I want to share the marketing images and video that have been created for our listing. I think they’ve come up really well - so I hope you like taking a look through them.

The marketing images

If you haven’t sold a house before there are a few phases you go through for your marketing photos. The first is a day shoot and then the photographer will also generally come back at dusk to get some twilight photos of the house.

The day we had the photos taken it was raining and overcast - but it’s super clever what the photographer has been able to do in photoshop to create the look of a sunny day. They just drop a blue sky in to the photo and you never would have known it was overcast that day.

An overcast day is actually perfect for interiors photos as it means no strange shadows and light is cast by sunlight, so from that perspective it was the perfect day for a shoot. You can read other tips I have about shooting your own interiors photos in my post a few weeks ago if that’s of interest.

Scroll through the gallery below to see how all the images came together - I think they look fantastic!

The marketing images from when we purchased

I also thought I would share the marketing images from when we purchased the house 3 years ago or so. I thought it would be fun to show you these so you could see the changes we have made to the house and what a difference those changes have made.

So fingers crossed for the sale. We are feeling quite confident with it and are in extremely good hands with our real estate agent. :)
