Hundreds of social media content ideas in minutes

If you are constantly racking your brain for new and engaging content to share on your social media platforms I’m going to give you an easy hack in this blog post!

I’m going to share how to turn a single topic into multiple content pieces that can be scheduled throughout the month.

By the end of the post you'll see how one topic can generate hundreds of content ideas in a matter of minutes.

Step 1: Pick a Topic

The first step in this process is to pick a general topic that’s related to your niche.

For example, let's take "How to renovate a bathroom".

This is a broad topic that can be broken down into many subtopics. The idea is to choose something that you are passionate about, knowledgeable in and something that will resonate with your audience (and ideally help them in some way).

To find a topic think about the questions your clients (or community on social media) ask you about most often and start there.

Step 2: Learn to Answer the Same Question in Lots of Different Ways

Once you have your topic, the next step is to learn how to answer the same question in lots of different ways.

This means thinking outside the box and being creative with your content.

For example, if the topic is "How to renovate a bathroom", you can share

  • a "behind-the-scenes" video of your bathroom design process

  • create a list of "10 things people forget when renovating their bathroom"

  • or film a trip to the tile supplier and you selecting the tiles for a project

Here are some examples of how you can present your topic in different ways:

  • Behind the scenes - film your bathroom design process

  • List - 10 things people forget when renovating their bathroom

  • POV - film a trip to the tile supplier and you selecting the tiles for a project

  • Resource - share your free space planning cheat sheet for bathrooms

  • Social proof - testimonial from a client, including their before/after images

  • Story - take a tour of your own bathroom and share what works and what doesn't work

  • Tip - your top bathroom renovation tips

  • Tutorial - explainer video on the steps involved in renovating a bathroom from start to finish

  • Unpopular opinion - share why you think white bathrooms are overrated

Remember, the idea is not only to create more content but to create content that is engaging, informative and unique to you (your story, your personality, your spin on the topic).

But the easiest way to create more content is to learn how to say the same thing in lots of different ways.

And as you can see one topic has now turned into multiple content pieces that can be scheduled throughout the month.

The best part? These pieces of content can also be repurposed many months later when everyone has forgotten about them, which gives you even more bang for your buck!

Once you’ve worked through one topic you can apply this same concept to other topics within your niche.

It's like having a content generation machine at your disposal and you'll never run out of content ideas again.
